| Devotionals - l) Day 12 Resisting the Devil | | James 4:7-8 (NLT)
7) So humble yourselves before God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. 8) Draw close to God and God will draw close to you….
People have conversations with the Devil in an attempt to get him to leave them alone. They command him, they bind him and they cast him, but they don’t resist him.
The word of God tells us clearly that we are to resist the Devil.
Resisting something means that you stand against it by your belief in something else.
If your belief is in God, the only way that you can resist the devil is by submitting to the will of God, as outlined by Him in His word.
If you do not know the word of God, your belief in God is weak and therefore your chances of submitting to the Devil are strong.
I encourage you to day to draw close to God through careful study of His word and gain the knowledge and power needed to resist the Devil.
