| Devotionals - n) Day 14 No Tomorrow | | James 4: 13-15
13) Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14) Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15) Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.”
What about tomorrow or next week or next year?
What are your plans? Do you plan to get married and having children? Are you planning to build a home? What about putting kids through college? Having grandchildren? Starting a business? Making lots of money?
We all have plans for tomorrow, but we should always remember that tomorrow is promised to no one - all we have is today and God alone has tomorrow.
This does not mean that we should not plan for tomorrow, but that in our planning, we should acknowledge the sovereignty of God and allow His perfect will to be accomplished in our lives.
Live each day as if there is no tomorrow and each tomorrow that you get will be that much more beautiful.
