| Devotionals - zz5) Day 40 The Power of God Within You | | The last thing Jesus told His disciples before He returned to heaven was that they would be baptized with the Holy Ghost after which they would receive power and be witnesses of Him in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth [Acts 1: 5, 8]
Once the disciples received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, they were transformed and transported into the spiritual realm and began to speak with other tongues (languages) as the Spirit gave them utterance. [Acts 1: 8] They also received the gift of healing. (Acts 3: 1-10).
After their initial Baptism of the Holy Ghost, the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost as needed, to accomplish the will of God in every circumstance that required God’s supernatural intervention.
In Acts 4: 13 we read that Peter and John were unlearned and ignorant men. Yet when they were brought before their rulers, elders, scribes and high priest to be questioned about the healing of the impotent man, they spoke with boldness because they were filled with the Holy Ghost [Acts 4: 8].
They had been transformed and transported into the spiritual realm.
Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour is the most important decision that you will ever make in your life. But there’s more. You need the power of the Holy Ghost so that you can be transformed and transported into the spiritual realm and be an effective witness for Him.
If you have not yet had this amazing experience - repent and be baptized for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the Holy Ghost. [Acts 2: 38]
